We Congratulate Our 2013 Best of the Net Winner & Finalists

This year Sundress Publications received nominations from over 200 editors for their annual Best of the Net Anthology. Each editor was invited to nominate two short stories, two essays and six poems. As a new publication we were excited to nominate work from our first two issues. Now that the results are in, we're pleased to share some good news.

Luisa A. Igloria's poem, The Loss and Recovery of Wings, was one of twenty poems selected by Judge A.E. Stallings for inclusion in this year's anthology. Additionally, we would like to congratulate our three finalists: Andrew Dutton (Fiction), Sean Finucane Toner (Nonfiction) and Liz Dolan (Poetry).

We invite you to revisit the work of Luisa, Andrew, Liz and Sean now:
Luisa A. Igloria Winner, Poetry
Andrew Dutton Finalist, Fiction
Liz Dolan Finalist, Poetry
Sean Toner Finalist, Nonfiction

Courtney Gillette  |  Featured Prose Writer
"There is some elasticity in creative nonfiction. I don’t feel limited by the facts of a story because I’m more interested in working to find the right facts, the best perspective, the new angle that makes the story fresh. That’s the challenge I want to embrace as an essayist."
Read Coutney Gillette's essay, Universal Champion, on page 26 of Issue Four
Noorulain Noor  |  Featured Poet
"I naturally gravitated towards poetry rather than prose – there was something about capturing the essence of a moment in verse that enraptured me."

"For many years, I have had a little pet project of designing a literary magazine that will be the
one magazine that I love, that has everything I need, the journal that I would instantly wish into the world if I had such power. Until I actually do it, I have found the perfect antidote – it is Ardor.
